In 2023, the SEO strategy was simple: Use ChatGPT to generate 1,000 articles, publish them programmatically, and capture long-tail traffic.
In 2026, this strategy is dead. Not just because Google penalized it, but because Answer Engines (LLMs) are structurally biased against AI-generated content.
It is a cruel irony: To be cited by an AI, you must sound least like an AI.
When an LLM (like GPT-4 or Gemini) retrieves sources to construct an answer, it applies a "Quality Filter" to the retrieved chunks. If your content exhibits the statistical markers of AI generation—repetitive sentence structures, low perplexity, and hallucinated fluff—the model discards it as "low-information noise."
